Ally is a scientist who lives for her profession. She loves spending endless hours in the lab studying organisms and cells, advancing her research. Every scientists dream is to discover something that has never been seen before, but never would Alli have thought that it might actually happen to her, until she gets an important task big enough to change her life and her career forever. She is supposed to experiment on a new species, a species somewhere in between human and ocean creature. When Alli lays eyes on Mermaid Victoria for the first time it is love at first sight.
