These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MyCollectory, operated by Aivion Studios ("we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use MyCollectory.
1. The service
MyCollectory is a personal media-tracking service that lets you catalog and share what you watch and play. The catalog itself is mirrored from external sources and the service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 16, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication under Account & security.
- You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
- One person, one account. Automated registration (bots) is not permitted.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Use the service to distribute malware, phishing material or spam.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or to systems behind MyCollectory.
- Scrape, mirror or re-distribute the catalog at scale. The catalog is provided for personal browsing; commercial re-use requires written permission.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the service (load testing, denial-of-service attempts, rate-limit evasion).
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the lists, bulletins, reviews and other content you create on MyCollectory ("Your Content"). By posting it publicly on the service, you grant Aivion Studios a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and (where you've marked it public) distribute it for the purpose of operating the service. You can revoke this licence at any time by deleting the content or your account.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. We do not pre-moderate posts but reserve the right to remove anything that violates these Terms or that we believe is materially harmful to users.
5. Third-party content and attribution
Film, series and documentary metadata is provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). Game metadata is provided by IGDB. Both organisations retain all rights to their data. We do not claim ownership of any catalog imagery, descriptions or trailers.
Trailers and clips are embedded from YouTube and are subject to YouTube's terms.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security incidents or other operational reasons. Features may be added, changed or removed at any time. Material changes will be announced via a bulletin where reasonably possible.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of catalog data.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aivion Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — which, for free accounts, is zero.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch consumer law.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through Account & security. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or if continued operation would expose us to legal risk.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction of residence.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced through a bulletin. Continued use of the service after such a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
