Syria: Putin's Testing Ground

Since the Russian offensive in Ukraine started, the West has been wondering how to contain Vladimir Putin. Another conflict where Russia is involved can help us understand the War in Ukraine: Syria. As the West looked on, Russia supported the Assad regime and used the conflict as a testing ground for Russian weapons and military tactics, with devastating consequences for the rebels and the civilian population. Tactics which would be deployed again in Ukraine.
