Honor Among Thieves
In early 1970, an amateur film crew shot a no-budget heist movie in Knoxville, TN. Throughout the shoot, cast members gathered in an abandoned quarry, a local bar, and a defunct bank building to get their vision on film. The cinematographer perched on top of a car to film a highway chase, and the whole company trekked into the foothills for a climactic foot pursuit and brawl. The resulting film, HONOR AMONG THIEVES, was never seen widely and never made a dime--but it did get its writer-director out of a term paper.
