Police Lieutenant Krützfeld faces a momentous decision on the night of November 9, 1938, in Berlin. Following the assassination of a German attaché in Paris, wrongfully labelled a Jewish terrorist attack by Nazi propaganda, he receives the order to attack the Jewish quarter.
