A reclusive artist, Paul Caruso, lives in isolation, known only for his brilliant work. When a wealthy woman commissions a portrait, their brief, uneasy encounter stirs something deep within him. As he continues painting beyond the commission, the process begins to unravel a memory he's tried to forget. That memory gradually takes control, turning into a confession.
