In the dust-choked gem mines of Andohan'Ilakaka, ruthless bosses Bell and Bona desperately need a dark-skinned child for a dark, sacrificial ritual to secure their fortune. Unaware of the looming danger, young Nivo and Miora arrive on holiday to tour the sapphire quarries. With his deep complexion, innocent Nivo quickly becomes the prime target for a sinister plot.
