Honored Artist of the RSFSR (13.05.1960). People's Artist of the RSFSR (4.04.1966). After graduating from the Higher Experimental Workshops of V. Meyerhold in 1926, he worked at the Blue Blouse Theater (1926-1929), the Moscow Drama Theater (formerly. He is the father of Yuri Demich, an Honoured Artist of the RSFSR.
