Jake Messina is an independent filmmaker and student known for personal, reflective documentary-style projects that explore memory, adolescence, and everyday life. His work often blends candid, vlog-style footage with a more cinematic approach, turning routine moments into structured visual narratives. His ongoing project To You, Four Years Ago documents his senior year of high school and the years leading up to it, functioning as a time capsule of friendship, change, and self-reflection. Through this work, he focuses on capturing real experiences as they happen, with an emphasis on nostalgia, growth, and the act of remembering itself.
