The Holy Quran (also spelled Qur'an or Koran) is the sacred scripture of Islam. Muslims believe it is the word of Allah (God), revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril) over approximately 23 years, beginning around 610 CE.
